Since being named 'Best Hip Hop Act' at the 2006 MOBO Awards, Akala (aka Kingslee James Daley) has been busy emerging from London's underground hip hop scene with his eclecticism, blending rap with rock, electro, punk and folk, whilst also tapping into literary references and issues such as social class stuggles to craft intelligent, profound rhymes.
