Moominland Tales: The Life of Tove Jansson

As part of Watershed's Moomins Mania season celebrating the 70th anniversary of the show's creation, this special one-off screening tracks the woman behind Finland's most cherished export.

This BBC film reveals the autobiographical elements behind the Moomins series, from Jansson's bohemian life as an artist in war-torn Helsinki to becoming a recluse on a remote island.

The screening will also feature a Q&A with children's author and contributor to the film, Philip Ardagh.
