Comedy writer, presenter, actor and singer-songwriter Rory McGrath is perhaps best known as a co-founder of Hat Trick Productions, responsible for classics such as Father Ted, Have I Got News For You, Whose Line is it Anyway? and Chelmsford 123, and generally as a funny face of the 90s. Known also as one of the Grumpy Old Men lot – though significantly less pessimistic than his peers – McGrath has teamed up with British composer and actor Philip Pope for Bridge Over Troubled Water, a show where comedy and music meet – and the intersection is one of filthy lyrics, musical pastiche and non-stop bickering.
