It's that brilliant time of year again, where we all stand together in a cold, dark field, craning our heads up at the night sky while watching several hundred quid's worth of explosives detonated for our amusement.
But where can you catch a firework show in Bristol? Pack a flask of tea and get sticky with a toffee apple and head to one of these displays near you.

Trinity Fireworks Party,
The Trinity Arts Centre is famous for its incredible fireworks display. You can watch it while nestled in the beautiful community garden, with drinks and treats available. There'll also be live music from Mr Benn, Eva Lavarus and the Ambling Band.

Bradley Stoke Fireworks Display
Bradley Stoke Town Council is inviting all residents and neighbours to a public fireworks display. Entry to the event is free but a donation towards local charities at the main gate is encouraged. There will also be hot food available.

Bristol Zoo Gardens
Slamboree at Motion
A fireworks night that really takes things back to the start: with a Gunpowder Plot themed night at Motion. Expect an epic circus stage set, outdoor bonfire, fire performances and even indoor pyrotechnics, too. Live music will be provided by Dr Meaker, Too many T's and more

Knowle Cricket Club
This popular display will also be selling hot food, hot and cold drinks and a tuck shop for the kids. Cheapskates will be able to catch the best of the display from the car park roof of the Broadwalk Shopping Centre opposite.

St. Ursula's Academy Fireworks Display
Organised by the St. Ursula's Parents, Teachers & Friends Association. Along with the fireworks (and the promise of a surprise from the display team), there will be a barbecue, bar, refreshments and the chance to buy popcorn and candyfloss. Tickets can be bought at the gate but they are limited.

St. Patrick's Church Firework Display
Held on the parish field, there'll be hot dogs to eat, a licensed bar and hot and cold drinks to accompany the fireworks.

Family Friendly Fireworks at Bristol Zoo
While many little ones love the look of fireworks, not all are so keen on the noise. This toddler-friendly night in Bristol Zoo gardens uses low-noise fireworks so as not to scare babe or beast.

Downend Round Table
Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park
A beautiful setting for any event, this fireworks display features a funfair, food stalls and indoor play barn disco.

Downend Round Table Fireworks
The largest display in Bristol, with all money raised going to charity. There'll be plenty going on, including a quieter display for children at 6.30pm, huge bonfire, fairground rides, a licensed bar courtesy of Great Western Brewery, live music from White Man Inferno and Chris Smee, plus a circus display from Circus Uncertainty.

This community fireworks night from Bishop Road School in Horfield will feature a lantern parade, hot and cold drinks and food.

This traditional firework spectacular is one of the biggest displays in the city. There'll be food and drink stalls, with an ambling band entertaining the crowds before the display.

The Grand Pier
Fireworks at Sea
If you're still looking for a fireworks fix later in the month, there's the impressive Fireworks at Sea event at Weston-super-Mare's Grand Pier. Tickets are £7.50, which include the best view of the display and unlimited goes on the pier's many rides, or you can pay £12.50 and have a seaside fish and chip supper at the Broadwalk Restaurant too.
