If you've always hoped that, one day, you'll see someone like DJ Derek, Morph or Gary Mabbutt on a £5 note, you'll be interested to know that the Bristol Pound wants new designs for its notes.
The currency, which launched two years ago and remains the UK's only city-wide currency, is after a new look to celebrate Bristol’s Green Capital year – and they want you lovely folks to provide it.
To capture the 'creative, independent character of Bristol', Bristol Pound want the following themes covered on each of the notes: European Green Capital 2015 (£B1), art and culture (£B5), community and diversity (£B10) and innovation and technology (£B20)
Your design can be a photograph, a painting, a collage or a graphic design. Download the full design brief here.
The deadline for entries is Monday March 16. The eight winning works, chosen by a panel of judges that includes Grant Marshall, aka Massive Attack's Daddy G, will be announced on Thursday March 26 with the notes issued on June 30.
