This week, we're blessed with a four-day weekend and the start of spring. Make sure you make the most of it. This list of brilliant Bristol happenings this week should help you do just that. Enjoy.

Red Bull Music Academy UK Tour – Bristol, various venues, Thursday – Sunday
After tearing up Glasgow last week, the RBMA tour arrives in our city with a bunch of amazing events at some of Bristol’s most interesting venues. From a house music legend in a 150-capacity bar, to a US hip hop star in a country house and a A/V spectacular at Arnolfini, there’s something for everyone in the four-day program.

Harvest Hoedown, BrewDog, Saturday from 6pm
Head to BrewDog on Baldwin Street on Saturday to welcome in spring in the best way possible – with great booze, food and music. Expect fresh harvest ales, live sounds from the Rockin’ Ruzz Guitar’s Blues Revue and a pop-up Mexican kitchen from the excellent Plumed Serpent Cantina. 

Dara O’Brian, Hippodrome, Wednesday – Friday, £26.90
The TV favourite brings his ‘Crowd Tickler’ show to the Hippodrome for three nights this week.

Stagfest, Stag & Hounds, Thursday – Sunday, free
The Stag & Hounds in Old Market invite you to join them for four days of music and great ales from Thursday for their fourth annual Stagfest.

GO ALOFT!, Brunel’s ss Great Britain, daily, £10
Get a Victorian sailor’s view of Bristol by climbing the main mast of Brunel’s famous old ship. Open daily from now until autumn.

Taste Chocolate festival, Brunel Square, Saturday & Sunday 10am-4.30pm, free
Love chocolate? Who doesn’t. Get yourself down to the Harbourside this weekend for this two-day celebration of the brown stuff, complete with stalls, demonstrations, street food and, of course, Easter eggs. 

Do Ho Suh: New York City Apartment / Corridor / BristolBMAG, from Saturday, free
Contemporary artist Do Ho Suh presents a unique new immersive installation at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery from this Saturday until late September, recreating a corridor from his New York apartment in fabric.

Ciderfest, All Hallows Hall, Saturday, £5
A brand-new ‘urban cider festival’ takes place on Saturday in Easton, with dozens of ciders to blind taste and the inaugural Fuelled By Cider Awards.

Bristol Ska & Mod Festival, The Marble Factory, Sunday, £30-£35
The first-ever Bristol Ska & Mod Festival hits The Marble Factory on Sunday, with Bad Manners and Bruce Foxton’s From The Jam plus many more.
