Time Out says

As secrets go, a secret room within a secret bar is as secret as you might get. Hyde & Co may be just off the Clifton Triangle, one of Bristol’s busiest nocturnal thoroughfares, near a magic bar and surrounded on almost all sides by kebab shops, but if you didn’t know it existed, you might walk by it blissfully unaware of the delights within.

When Hyde & Co first opened, the front door was at the back, making it even harder to find. To help just a little bit, there is a now a small illuminated sign with a bowler hat. After ringing the doorbell and making your entrance, you walk past what looks like a bookshelf. Behind that is the secret private room, which even your Time Out correspondent has never been inside so who knows what mysteries lurk within.

A piano in one corner isn't just for decoration and is often put to good use. Cocktails dominate but are most certainly not the only drinks on offer, with bottles from Wild Beer Co. and Burrow Hill cider both making the short journey from Somerset.
