What happens when you throw together an uplifting story of revolution with a fiery love triangle, a Broadway score into a pot along with some hip-hop and smooth R'n'B? You get the genre-defying musical of the century, that's what.

Since its premiere, the smash-hit musical Hamilton has left an indelible mark on popular culture. It has been seen by more than 22-million people worldwide, won 11 Tony Awards, picked up a Pulitzer Prize, and continues to win over critics and audiences worldwide.

If you happened to miss out on seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda's masterpiece when it debuted in Australia in 2021 (you can read our glittering five-star review here), it's your lucky day – because the critically-acclaimed musical is returning to the Harbour City for an encore.

The return season opens at Sydney's Lyric Theatre from July 30, 2024, for a strictly limited time. And we can't wait to raise our fists in celebration. But should you need another reason to book a ticket and travel to see Hamilton, there is a number of hot deals and new faces to beckon you.

Most importantly, it's also the last chance to catch Hamilton in Australia, so we wouldn't advise thinking twice about booking that trip. C'mon, don't throw away your shot.

Tickets to the strictly limited return season of Hamilton are on sale now, you can snag them here.

HAMILTON's Aussie encore: Why you need to be in "the room where it happens"

Sydney is the last stop!

We're afraid so, it has been 100% confirmed that Sydney will be Hamilton's last stop. Producers Jeffery Seller and Michael Cassel have announced that the Harbour City will be the final destination after the original Australasian production played in Melbourne, Brisbane, and New Zealand. Theatregoers, this really is your last chance to be in the room where it happens!

You can catch a preview for just $70

Theatre tickets do not come cheap these days, but if you know where to go for the right deals, you can catch some world-class shows without breaking the bank. Hamilton is offering cheaper tickets to preview performances (July 30 – August 7) for a discounted price of $70. Combine that with a low-cost flight (and we know there are deals aplenty) to give yourself the perfect affordable mini-vacay. Discover which preview performances still have availability and book here.

You'll save $100 with this group offer

Alert the troops! Hamilton is offering a four-person ticket deal with a $100 discount. Now, that's a deal we can get around, especially if it helps balance out travel costs. FYI: the deal is only available for select performances on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. You can find out more, save those dollars, and book in here.

You've gotta see the brand new cast

"This cast is truly something special, with people you will remember and some incredible new talent," says Hamilton co-producer Jeffrey Seller. And we also reckon this new ensemble is gonna blow us all away.

A number of actors will be making their Hamilton debuts, including Vidya Makan as Eliza Hamilton, who you might recognise as Catherine Parr in Six The Musical, as well as her starring role in the Melbourne Theatre Company production of Bloom.

Other actors making their debut include, Gerard-Luke Malgas as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Etuate Lutui as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, and Googoorewon Knox as George Washington. Tainga Savage, who appeared in the original Australian production and the international tour, will step into the big shoes of the principal role of John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

Australia's original Alexander Hamilton, Jason Arrow, will reprise his role, alongside fellow returning castmates Callan Purcell, Akinda Edmonds, Elandrah Eramiha and Brent Hill.

You can meet the full cast for the production here.
