The Fox Hotel is one of South Brisbane's most frequented watering holes. These days they're serving up booze-friendly food at bargain prices. 'Happy Burger Hour' sees punters lining up for a burger and side of fries for an astonishing $5. Snacky menu items don't cost much more: a dozen hickory and salt-punched chicken wings slathered with creamy, jalapeño mayo leave a buzzy little zing on the lips and cost just under a tenner. Of course, pub staples of sirloin and chicken parma reside at the Fox also. They're not going for stars here, they're feeding the masses and smashing a burger, pizza and beer in a booth at the downstairs Trocadero Bar ain't a bad way to while away your hunger and time.
