Fish Lane is fast gaining a reputation as the food and wine street to watch – and rightly so. New addition SBC has an entry leading to an elongated space punctuated with bi-folding windows to catch any hint of a Brisbane breeze. What lies behind this unassuming facade is a specialist beer café, and it takes its role seriously.
A chalked key-and-keg system clearly details 'what's on' from the ten taps and around 60 bottles of local and overseas European-style brown ales, sours, and Belgian beers, along with select small batch wines and ciders. Food, too, is plentiful, with breakfasts through to mains and a plethora of bar snacks – think smoked, pulled and comfort foods.
Breakfast, lunch and bar snacks are available and coffee by the Artisan Coffee Roasters comes in a house blend and a monthly specialty single origin or blend.
