Another venue in the Solotel Group, Little Big House, with a nod to all things Queensland, occupies Brisbane's old Ship Inn site in Southbank's new Southpoint precinct. The iconic, 1889, heritage-listed Queenslander has been restored, primped and primed to its former glory. Palm trees sway on iron-laced verandas, there's a kiosk out front, a bar on each level, pool table and all the ingredients for a good time. The menu of arancini, tacos, salads, burger and steak is as relaxed as a Queensland Summer. We tuck into the House's pork belly rotisserie roll with three strips of moist pork belly on a fluffy, white bun. it's dressed up a little with red cabbage and apple ’slaw with dill pickle to complete.
