Yee-har! With a design aesthetic perched between honky-tonk saloon and country and western bordello, this music venue and whiskey bar inside a heritage building boasts design touches including chandeliers, velvet drapes, taxidermy shark and baboon, wall-length mirrors, peacock feathers and a large model tall ship.
The recipient of many accolades since opening in 2014, Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall hosts music such as soul, delta blues, country music, and jazz from 8pm six nights a week. There are indie rock and reggae nights, monthly roots music celebrations, and open mic nights for songwriters.
A large selection of craft beer, whiskey and rum are on sale, and there’s a happy hour every day. The food menu skews to southern American classics such as po’boys, cheese kransky corn dogs, buffalo wings and mac’n’cheese croquettes, and the popcorn is free and bottomless.
