Time Out says

What it lacks in size, this century-old zoo makes up for in personality. Set on 26 acres in Stoneham and a sister location to the Franklin Park Zoo, this spot lets visitors stroll the tree-lined paths to view animals from A(rctic fox) to Z(ebu). Favorites to watch are the Mexican Gray Wolf roaming around the outdoor habitat, while inside the Animal Discovery Center, you’ll find small things that slither. Be sure to check out the pretty-in-pink flamingo cove.

Teddy Bear Check-up Day at Stone Zoo

Calling all budding veterinarians (or anyone who takes their favorite stuffed animal’s health seriously). Bring your furry buddy to Teddy Bear Check-up Day at Stone Zoo on April 19 for an interactive event that gives stuffed toys a “check-up.” Included with general zoo admission at the Stoneham Zoo and held 9am to 1pm, the event will also teach kids about veterinary care, animal health, and personal wellness. Stone Zoo's animal care team will also be hosting a black bear keeper chat at 10am, where visitors can learn more about this iconic species.
