Time Out says

Sure, watching the Olympics at your favorite sports bar is fun, but how about watching performance athletes dive into Boston Harbor from upwards of 70 feet, live and in-person?! It's once again possible when the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series returns to Boston June 7 and 8.

Across two days of competition, 24 athletes will dive from a height atop the Institute of Contemporary Art in the Boston Seaport, entering the water at speeds in excess of 50mph. The public is invited to watch, free of charge. Divers' acrobatic skills and artistic expression are factored into the professional judging. This year, competitors include 2023 overall champion Rhiannan Iffland of Australia, 2022 Boston event winners Molly Carlson of Canada and Aidan Heslop of Great Britain, and American divers Ellie Smart, Maya Kelly and Kaylea Arnett, among others.

Boston is once again the only North American stop for the exhilarating event. With a unique cantilever extending over the water, the ICA is "an unparalleled stage" for some of the world's best divers, according to Red Bull Cliff Diving organizers. Athletes agree that Boston brings it. "The energy from the crowd last year was incredible," says Red Bull athlete Smart. "We're hoping for more of the same this time."

The grounds surrounding the ICA and waterfront are open to spectators, while there are also ticketed options for a more VIP viewing experience. Learn more here.

The competition is open to the public and free to attend, the qualifiers will take place Friday, June 2 from 10am-12pm then the official competition will take place on Saturday, June 3 from 12-2:15pm. Watch from the ground below or book a reservation at Woods Hill Pier 4 for a front row seat over brunch. Get more details about the Red Bull Cliff Diving Competition here.
