Munroe Tavern

Unique among Revolutionary War buildings, the tavern commemorates not a victory, but a defeat. (Theirs, not ours.) It is one of only two buildings currently open to the public associaed with the British retreat; it served as a field hospital immediately after the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
