Get in some screams from the big screen, as Coolidge Corner Theatre annually goes all in for October. This year, the Brookline institution plans a movie-crammed month themed around the films of William Castle, "the master of macabre movie gimmicks." A cinematic legend as well as a master of marketing, Castle employed tricks like vibrating seats and "illusion-o" viewers—which the Coolidge is bringing back in a big way during select screenings. Catch classics like The Tingler, 13 Ghosts and Rosemary's Baby during Schlock and Awe, the monthlong celebration of William Castle.
Additionally in October, the Coolidge is screening creepy cult classics like The Craft, A Different Man, Pulp Fiction and more. Don't miss new scary movies like The Substance and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, either.
