Time Out says

Held every year on Patriots Day, the famous Boston Marathon, taking place this year on April 21, brings 30,000 competitors to the 26-mile route from Main Street in Hopkinton to the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston in front of the Boston Public Library. As the world's oldest annual marathon and one of the world's most prestigious road racing events, this American classic is managed by The Boston Athletic Association. You can watch and cheer runners on from anywhere along the route as the 129th marathon welcomes this year's runners. Here is a helpful course map, and the day's timing is mobility impaired’s early starting line at 8:50am, followed by elite woman at 9:32am, and elite men at 10am.
