Emerson Colonial Theatre Historial Tour

You might know its seats and stage for watching everything from live music to theater, but how much of the Emerson Colonial Theatre's rich history do you really know? Now's your chance, as Boston’s oldest continuously-operated theatre (also the former site of the Boston Public Library) opens its halls to visitors for a guided tour. You'll specifically learn about the birth of musicals at the Colonial prior to their Broadway bows (including Anything Goes, Oklahoma!, Follies, and La Cage aux Folles), admire the famed architecture from the turn of the last century, and take a behind-the-scenes look throughout the city's beloved theatrical location.
