A hidden gem just off Route 9 in Chestnut Hill, XOXO Sushi Bar is getting notice for beautiful dishes with flavor to match. A 2024 debut from a pair of real estate developers-turned restauranteurs, they tapped chef Kegan Stritchko, whose experience includes Uni and Fat Baby Sushi, to lead the innovative global Japanese restaurant. With a sushi counter, robata grill and traditional omakase available nightly—not to mention, memorable cocktails—XOXO aims to fill the void still felt by the departure of Oishii II from this upscale neighborhood and suburban date-night destination.
