Time Out says

In the heart of Boston's vibrant Jamaica Plain neighborhood is Vee Vee, a bistro ideal for date night, an average Tuesday, and all occasions in between. The cozy restaurant has a small bar with just four draft lines, but the beers are always fresh and never the usual suspects (think: Grimm IPAs or a Trillium stout). In the warmers months, Vee Vee more than doubles capacity with a patio and outdoor bar hidden away off Centre Street. Husband-and-wife owners Dan and Kristen Valachovic are JP locals who have employed a familiar team of friendly faces since 2008. In 2024, they welcomed chef Valentine Howell, a 2023 James Beard award nominee and Top Chef contender. Howell's brand-new menu features his signature Afro-Latin flavors matched with Vee Vee's welcoming, art-filled atmosphere and casual service.
