Hotel dining is at best a crapshoot, but The Bristol rightly wins local accolades as one of the best places in town for a business breakfast, power lunch or romantic rendezvous. Tucked into the first floor of the Four Seasons Boston, with plate-glass views of the Boston Public Garden, the refined spot serves three ample meals a day, starting with luxury breakfast service and concluding with hearty American dinner fare (oysters, ribeye, scallops). On Sundays the brunch buffet draws in well-heeled Back Bay families and moneyed tourists. Perhaps most famous of all is the renowned Bristol Burger—a house blend of dry aged NY strip, short rib and brisket, topped with Cabot clothbound cheddar, fresno jam, bacon aioli and bibb lettuce—which is only available at the bar.
