Time Out says

Serving some of the city’s best—and most beautiful—croissants, baguettes and seasonal pastries, PRB Boulangerie has locations on both sides of the Charles River and roots in France. Loic Le Garrec, a veteran of the area's French dining scene, opened the bakeries to supply breads at his three area restaurants: Petit Robert Bistro, Batifol and Marseille. But PRB Boulangerie has become so much more under the leadership of head baker François Jomain, who trained in France. He uses European ingredients and seasonal fruit and flavors to offer a range of tempting treats daily. The cafés in Kendall Square, Somerville and the South End also serve coffee, espresso and specialty drinks. On weekends, look for specials like the “crookie,” a viral sensation from Paris, which bakes a chocolate chip cookie inside the buttery layers of a croissant.
