Every Saturday and Sunday, you can park across the street and watch every type of South Bostonian straggle in for hangover cures. Mul’s gives you everything you want from a ‘50s retro diner, from the shiny metal exterior to the checkered tiles, red booths and counter seating. Blueberry pancakes and the creme brulee French toast are the highlights here, as well as the coffee, which tastes far better than most diner swill. But really, you’re lingering over your bottomless cup o’ joe for the people watching: old couples sharing the paper, decimated college students trying to refortify for the rest of the weekend and true Bostonian accents throughout.
