Mamma Maria is a unique restaurant in Boston because it feels more like it belongs in Europe than in Boston. When you walk into the North Square landmark, you get the feeling of entering someone’s luxuriously historic home (that is, in fact, what it was). But you're really in one of Boston’s truly fine dining establishments; an intimate, comfortable experience to share with family and friends. Like much of the North End, the menu leans Italian, with pastas, salads, entrees and appetizers like beef carpaccio, burrata dressed for the season, chitarra with Cape Cod clams and hand-picked crabmeat and beef tenderloin. Unlike many North End neighbors, everything here is made from scratch and the menu changes with the seasons. Mamma Maria also boasts outdoor dining in the heart of the North End, a rare luxury in the tight neighborhood.
