Cunard Tavern is a globally influenced American tavern (and roof deck!) in East Boston. From first-generation Bostonian Phillip Frattaroli, who is also behind North End restaurants Ducali Pizza, Lucia Ristorante and The Pine Bar at Boston Public Market, Cunard Tavern is inspired by the diverse and historic neighborhood where Frattaroli's grandfather once had a cabinet-making company. The "authentically Eastie" spot serves up a eclectic selection of tavern fare like birria nachos, a tuna tartare appetizer, steak frites, heart seasonal salads, a lobster roll and more. Craft beer is a big focus on the bar, and the seasonal rooftop bar became the Layover in 2024, with lush decor, tiki-inspired cocktails and pan-Asian snacks.
