Time Out says

One of the most exciting recent openings in Boston is this 2023 James Beard Best New Restaurant nominee. Co-owned by immigrants and local industry veterans Biplaw Rai, chef Kwasi Kwaa and their wives, Nyacko Pearl Perry and Rita Ferreira, Comfort Kitchen pulls from their shared experiences to highlight cross-cultural connections across cuisines.

Chic, soulful and small in the heart of the city, reservations are required for dinner. Tuesday-Saturday nights you'll find destination-worthy dishes like brown-butter-seared okra with masala-spiced yogurt and plantain chips, and banana leaf-roasted chicken with cilantro-red rice, green olive and citrus. A bold bar program shares quarters with the kitchen, shaking up sippable celebrations for and by BIPOC. For breakfast and lunch Thursday-Sunday, order at the counter and seat yourself or take to-go sandwiches, grain bowls, pan-seared momo and coffee, tea and soft drinks.

Located inside a historic rest station on Columbia Ave. in Upham’s Corner, this Dot spot has peaceful private patios on both sides of the restaurant. There’s street parking as well as a public lot nearby, and it’s on numerous bus lines.
