Exciting news for Zac Brown Band fans, and those looking to support the Boston Marathon Survivors Fund: The Greg Hill Foundation is hosting a benefit concert on April 16th at MGM Music Hall featuring the legendary Zac Brown Band.
The concert will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombings. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Greg Hill Foundation, with a portion financially benefiting those affected by tragedies.
When were the Boston Marathon Bombings?
Tragically, the Boston Marathon Bombings were a terrorist attack that occurred on April 15, 2013, was when two bombs went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three spectators and wounding more than 260 other people. Those survivors are whom the Greg Hill Foundation moved to help immediately following the attack. At the time they raised over $550,000, donating funds directly to 66 different victims, helping to aid their recovery.
Since then, the Foundation created a Boston Marathon Survivors Fund and continues to support the victims by providing grants to fund services or equipment.
“Given our daily mission to help those impacted by tragedies, we felt the need from the beginning to help those impacted by the 2013 Marathon Bombings as quickly as we could,” said Greg Hill, in a release. “With 2023 marking the 10th anniversary of the attack the Foundation is focused on raising even more funds ensuring the Boston Marathon Survivors Fund will be funded in perpetuity, supporting whatever needs may arise for those affected by the events of that day.”

This is a very exclusive event, with only 2,500 tickets available. The Foundation is also offering sponsorship and VIP package, including an opportunity to attend a pre-show reception featuring a special acoustic set from Zac Brown. The Zac Brown Band’s next performance in Boston will be this summer, when the band is headlining Fenway Park on August 19, so this is a chance to see them perform up close at an exclusive and intimate concert.
The Grammy award winning band have released seven studio albums along with two live albums. They also have had 16 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and 13 of those songs went to number one.
