President’s Day is this Monday, February 20, so most schools are on vacation next week. And if you won’t be driving up to Maine or Vermont to go skiing, you will need to find some activities to keep the kids occupied. Luckily, the Chatham Bars Inn on the Cape has a whole week’s worth of programming planned for both guests and visitors.

Chatham Bars Inn

The Chatham Bars Inn is located in Chatham, MA, just about two hours from Boston in the off-season. And take advantage of the crowd-free roads this winter because we all know that the drive could easily take 3+ hours in the summer.

This vast property has a main hotel, which is a beautiful historic building, and lots of other cottages and houses right on the Chatham waterfront. The main inn building has been around since 1914 and the cottages sprawl across the 25-acre property overlooking the water. During the winter, just the STARS Restaurant and the Sacred Cod (the casual pub-style option) are open, the Beach House and the Veranda are closed for the season.
