Voice of Boston is our series where we interview local tastemakers on their favorite neighborhoods, restaurants and hangouts around the city. If you missed our last one, catch up on our chat with Jen Royle of Table.

This week we are taking a cue from the rest of Boston and are headed to Nantucket for the long weekend. We are chatting with Katherine Jetter. Jetter is a jewelry innovator. She launched her line in 2008 featuring only the finest stones and materials. And she opened her first retail store, The Vault, on Nantucket in 2016.  The Vault features not only her own designs, but also curated collections from international jewelers.

What are your favorite neighborhoods in Nantucket?

I would have to say Eel Point and Surfside.

Where do you go for a late-night bite?

Stubby’s, of course. This has to be the best spot for a late-night sandwich.

In general, what are some of your favorite restaurants and bars right now?

The Pearl and Nautilus have amazing food and The Faraway courtyard has been my new favorite spot for cocktails. The atmosphere, décor and menu is such a nice addition to town.

Name a “hidden gem” where you always take friends or family when they are visiting from out of town?

We drive on to the beach for sunset and a bonfire and throw some fresh clams on the grill! Is there anything better than dinner on the beach while on Nantucket?

What do you think is the best thing about Nantucket right now?

Honestly, the reason we all love Nantucket is that is lets us get away from the crowds for family beach time and sunsets all summer long.

What do you think is the worst thing about Nantucket right now?

The traffic!

What is your go-to coffee order?

Iced non-fat dirty chai at the HUB!
