At Time Out Market Boston, Peter Ungár—whose original Tasting Counter was named 2019's best restaurant in Boston by Boston Magazine—recently introduced a new menu for his Tasting Counter outpost. Now you can try Ungár's take on corn dogs (made with duck sausage, cornbread and fermented mustard) and savory pork belly ssäm featuring Boston lettuce, caramelized eggplant, and pickled daikon and carrot.

If you haven't been to Tasting Counter — the hard-to-find foodie destination that has become Somerville’s top-rated, and most in-demand, culinary destination — at Time Out Market you can get a taste of the creative, seasonal plates that have won Ungár and his team great acclaim.

Tasting Counter wins kudos for its “0|50|100” mission (0 carbon, at least 50% ingredients sourced within Massachusetts, 100% natural food and beverages). Nearly everything is made in house—butter, breads, preserves, ferments and condiments—leaving diners asking: When was the last time you had fine dining fare in a communal environment?
