Baby, it’s cold outside—so let’s all raise a cozy cocktail and toast the season at Time Out Market Boston’s outdoor winter Après Skate Bar starting Friday, Dec. 10.
The Fenway establishment has transformed the bright blue van parked outside its patio into a wonderland of warm beverages. Conveniently located right beside The Rink at 401 Park, presented by REI, the Après Skate Bar will be serving up hot cocktails and cold beer to folks stepping off the ice (and people who don’t even bother lacing up those skates) on weekends throughout the winter.
Amongst the drinks sure to chase the chill right out of you: a boozy coffee featuring Teeling Irish whiskey, Broadsheet coffee, Bénédictine and brown sugar, topped with whipped Irish cream; a spiked hot chocolate made with Cazadores Reposado tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile Verde Poblano Liqueur, Taza stone-ground Mexican chocolate and local dairy; and a hot buttered rum laced with Bacardi Reserva Ocho rum, local butter and spices.
For guests who are more than just a fair weather beer fan, there’ll also be an assortment of ice-cold cans of New England brews—from Vermont Beer Makers’ Scarlet red ale to Some Brewing Company’s Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie stout. Non-drinkers and children can still get a cup of cheer, thanks to the beverages sans booze that’ll be available—namely, non-alcoholic Taza hot chocolate and mulled apple cider made with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and vanilla.
While we hearty Bay Staters can more than handle chilly temperatures and blustering wind, Time Out Market will offer up other opportunities to keep warm—besides its menu of steaming beverages—just in case. Grab a table on the patio, where an army of heaters will keep everyone toasty. Anyone who still might need another layer can also buy Time Out blankets at the Après Skate Bar and stay snug enough to order another round.
Bundle up and get the full Après experience Fridays from 4pm—9pm, as well as Saturday and Sundays from 11am—9pm. Trust us, it’s sure to beat curling up on the couch alone for the umpteenth time this year.
