One of the best parts about living in Boston is the breadth and depth of live performances we have access to all year. In the summer we have Shakespeare in the Park, in the winter we have the Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker, and this Fall we are getting Shit-Faced Shakespeare.
Shit-Faced Shakespeare(R) is an adults-only performance where one of the cast members is “charged with drinking for 4 hours prior to showtime.” So basically, this drunk cast member is there to stir the pot while the rest of the crew manages to tell a classic Shakespearean tale for the audience, with a lot of laughs thrown in.
Shit-Faced Shakespeare® has announced the line-up for the 2022-2023 season in Boston, which is their eighth year in town.
Romeo & Juliet will be playing this fall, September 15 through November 19 and then from February 9 through April 8 Much Ado About Nothing takes the stage and last but not least, Macbeth runs April 20 through June 24.
Performances will be held at The Rockwell in Davis Square, 255 Elm St, Somerville, MA 02144.
