Publico Beach Club is back for the summer! Tucked inside the popular Publico Street Bistro in Southie, the Publico Beach Club is their fun summer pop up located in their own courtyard.
Southie has transformed into a foodie’s haven over the past few years, check out our guide to the best restaurants in Boston right now and look for those representing South Boston.
Executive Chef, Joel Howard, has created a special menu filled with summer favorites, all served against a coastal décor backdrop in the Beach Club. All that paired with a few tropical cocktails turns the space into an urban oasis worth a visit. And by the way, you will want to bring your friends because the drinks can be served by the pitcher and we all know that nights our in Southie are that much better when you are drinking from a pitcher with your best friends.
Some cocktails worth starting your weekend with are the: Mango Margarita, Piña Colada, Coconut Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, Pain Killer or their homemade Frosé. Pair any of those with the beach shack inspired bites like the lobster roll, ceviche, or even the full seafood tower.
Publico also offers fantastic menu deals including the “3 for $38 pre fixe.” The menu currently has a “globe-trotting island” theme at the moment and is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the in the main dining room or Beach Club.
But no matter when you visit the Beach Club expect Instagramable décor like sea grass, shells, driftwood, swinging accent chairs and a replica lifeguard chair—so dress to impress because you will want to snap a few photos during dinner. And if you really want to plan a big night out, book one of the three cabanas for a truly VIP beach club experience—all while being in the heart of Southie of course!
The Publico Beach Club is currently open Wednesday – Sunday (so add them to your plan for Southie Sunday for sure!), but the rest of the restaurant is open daily and dinner is served until 11pm each night in the main dining room.
