We all spend so much time on the Esplanade each summer. Whether you enjoy going for a run, walking your dog or lounging with a picnic, the Charles River Esplanade is one of the places that makes living in Boston so great. This Thursday, July 21, the Esplanade Association is hosting their 11th Annual Summer Dock Party.
The Summer Dock Party is the biggest summer fundraiser for the Esplanade. The Esplanade Association is a non-profit that for the past 21 years has been dedicated to not only maintaining, but also enhancing and revitalizing the historic Charles River Esplanade. The Esplanade Association was formed in 2001 because the local community had realized that the park was being underutilized and in need of funds and support to bring it back to life.
The Esplanade makes up 64 acres of waterfront property stretching from Beacon Hill to the end of Back Bay along the Charles River and Bostonians have enjoyed this public outdoor space for generations.
The Summer Dock Party is held each July against the stunning backdrop of the Boston and Cambridge skylines at sunset. Held on the docks of Community Boating and the Eliot Garden, this is one of the highlights of the social season each year and an amazing chance to contribute to something that we all know and love.
There will be a buffet dinner served by Events by BH and Levain Bakery, drinks by Night Shift and Archer Roose and music by Joe Sax Boston and Peter Perfect.
This event sells out every year but there are still a few tickets left so register today. And with every ticket purchased, guests will receive a raffle ticket. There are some fun things up for grabs including roundtrip airfare for two (to anywhere!) on JetBlue! Tickets are $125 each.
