Yes, Halloween was this week. But Christmas trees are already going up around Boston. And you know what that means—it is time to start booking holiday parties, get-togethers with friends and Christmas lunches! And the best part is that Yvonne’s is doing Locke-Ober lunches once again.
What are Locke-Ober Lunches?
Yvonne’s is once again paying homage to its glitzy supper club roots with the return of its annual “Locke-Ober lunches.” These will be offered each Friday in December and tend to book up quickly, so make your reservations now while you still can.
If you were unaware, Yvonne’s is located in the former home of one of the Boston Brahmin grand dames, Locke Ober. This was a place that the Kennedy brothers would dine. Yvonne’s brings back a little bit of this old-world glamour each holiday seasons on Friday at lunchtime with servers wearing white dinner jackets, who are serving flowing champagne, amongst a menu filled with modern interpretations of old favorites like Baked Oysters “Savannah,” Lobster Thermidor, Prime Rib and Baked Alaska.
How can I book a table for a holiday lunch at Yvonne's?
This annual holiday tradition will take place Fridays beginning December 2 through Christmas. Reservations will soon and can be made by calling 617-267-0047.
