Despite the state giving the green light for Phase 3 to start on July 6, Mayor Marty Walsh opted to delay Phase 3 of Boston’s reopening until Monday, July 13.
“We took an extra week here in Boston, as most people know, to take extra steps due to our unique concerns here in the city,” said Walsh at a press conference.
Among the venues now being allowed to reopen are movie theaters, outdoor performance venues, museums and cultural sites, and fitness centers and health clubs.
