With high ticket prices, unprecedented delays, strikes and other issues, traveling this summer has not been fun. However, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. According to the travel experts, flight prices are expected to take a dip as soon as back to school season rolls around this Fall.
With so many people catching up on all their trips delayed due to the pandemic, this summer has been one of the busiest on record. However, if you are someone who has been putting off that big trip due to all the travel issues in the past few months, you may be in luck. According to Scott Keyes, the founder of Scott's Cheap Flights in an interview with ABC News, "Airfares really did shoot up in the spring. [They] went up 12% in March, 19% in April, another 12% in May. But the good news: In the last inflation report, airfare actually fell 2%, and I think it's going to fall even further in the next one."
So if you are hoping to make it to one of your bucket list destinations this year, now is the time to start planning the trip (but maybe wait a few more weeks to buy the flight!).
On the brighter side, besides the delays and issues at the airports this summer, the travel world has been filled with good news in 2022, which is a pleasant change of pace for the industry.
So many new hotels and resorts have opened recently including the beautiful FIVE Zurich. This expansion by the insta-famous FIVE Hotels and Resorts, a Dubai-based group, is bringing its signature approach to hospitality and nightlife to one of Europe’s most popular destinations.
