Just over a year old, Estella in downtown crossing, has been making a name for themselves. The modern American restaurant is elevating the Boston dining and bar scene at their three level Temple Place location.
Owner Helder Brando opened Estella, inspired by his mother, the restaurant’s namesake, and her passion for good food. The upper level of the restaurant gives guests an intimate space to enjoy a great meal with friends and loved ones. But the street level bar area and the basement level lounge bring a much-needed vibrancy to Boston night life. On a busy night you can find the amazing team at Estella whipping up craft cocktails among the buzzing crowd. Estella frequently features live music and DJs on Friday and Saturday nights to get the party going.
Their space can also be reserved for private events, with three levels to choose from there is a lot of flexibility! The downstairs lounge is the perfect spot for a private party with your very own bar and plenty of room for mingling or dancing! When to go to Estella
Open seven days a week from 4pm-2am Estella is the spot for an afterwork drink, date night or girls’ night out. And because they are open late, this is just the place to end your night.
Who to bring for the ultimate night out
Because Estella has three levels offering three different atmospheres you really have some flexibility. But we recommend bringing your friends for cocktails in the downstairs lounge. And tell your guests to dress to impress, this is one of the new hotspots downtown.

What to drink at Estella
You can’t go wrong with any of their house craft cocktails, but the Estella Espresso Martini is one of our personal favorites. They also do a fabulous spicy skinny marg too!
What to eat
If you opt for dinner with your drinks try the Blackened Salmon Tacos or the Steak and Cheese Flatbread Pizza. But save room for the Tiramisu for dessert.
