While we eagerly await the 2025 Boston Calling lineup announcement—update, January 3: it's coming on Monday!—the festival organizers have announced some updates, including plans to lower the cost of entry (!!).

We’ll see what exactly that entails; Time Out has reached out to Boston Calling organizers for more information and is expecting to learn more this month.

The organizers also teased that they’ve invested in a new, state-of-the-art rotating stage system that will combine the Red and Green stages (the fest's two main stages). This will allow for better views, more room to roam around, and an enhanced audio/visual experience for all attendees, according to today’s announcement.

Look forward to some indoor programming at the 2025 festival: Boston Calling is bringing back arena performances this year. Located near the main entrance to the festival grounds, the arena is air-conditioned and has seats.

The other change announced today was welcome news to fans: Boston Calling will offer more water stations on the festival grounds this year.

These are all exciting updates from the festival organizers, getting us wicked excited for the lineup announcement coming soon.
