Today, October 4, is National Taco Day and in Boston, Anna’s Taqueria is celebrating by adding Birria Tacos to the menu!

Available all week, Anna’s Taqueria will be selling slow-cooked beef tacos featuring melted cheese, cilantro and red onion on a crispy corn tortilla dipped in Birria sauce. They will be served with fresh lime and extra Birria dipping sauce on the side. Guests can find these tacos at all Anna’s locations today through the October 11.

Anna’s currently has six Boston locations but will be expanding to a seventh very soon. The next location of this beloved Boston institution will be opening at 360 Longwood Avenue in the Fenway area later this year. The Longwood location will offer Anna’s signature burritos, quesadillas, tacos, Mexican bowls and salads.

Anna’s Taqueria continues to be inspired by the style of Mexican street food found in San Francisco’s Mission District. The first location opened in Brookline in 1995 and has expanded across the Boston area to Boston proper, Cambridge, Newton and Somerville.
