When is A Taste of New England?
A Taste of New England 2023 comes to Spruce Peak at Stowe this weekend. Taking place Thursday, August 24 through Sunday, August 27, Taste of New England aims to celebrate the amazing talent located in New England. The four-day culinary event includes standalone chef-curated dinners, an exclusive welcome reception with star chefs, a unique collaboration dinner with expert wine pairings, live music and a food and beverage showcase featuring top Vermont artisans, producers, farms, and restaurants.
Where is the food festival taking place?
The festivities will take place at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont. Stowe is most commonly known for world-class skiing, but the Vermont hotspot has plenty to offer in the summer months. Guests can enjoy picturesque landscapes and a variety of outdoor activities all season long. Nestled within the Green Mountains, the lush greenery creates the perfect backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts and leisure seekers alike. Play a round of golf, go hiking, mountain biking, or get on the water for an afternoon of fishing or paddleboarding. And afterwards come back to Spruce Peak to relax and unwind and take in the town's vibrant arts scene, ample shopping or book a treatment at the Spruce Peak Spa.
Stowe food scene
Stowe has always beckoned food connoisseurs with its farm-to-table dining experiences and farmers' markets. The region's rich agricultural heritage comes alive in the summer as local farmers showcase an abundance of fresh produce and artisanal goods. And the cherry on top of the summer food scene is A Taste of New England. The event has continued to grow each year and organizers expect 2023 to be the biggest and most exciting yet.
This year, A Taste of New England welcomes an array of amazing talent including:
Chef Cassie Piuma of Sarma in Massachusetts
Chef Emily Mingrone of Tavern On State and Fair Haven Oyster Co. in Connecticut
Chef Kwasi Kwaa of Comfort Kitchen in Massachusetts
Chef Will Myska of Ore Nell's BBQ in Maine
Sean Minor Wines as the featured winemaker
Attendees will enjoy the carefully curated experience, highlighting each chef’s unique specialties, under the direction of Spruce Peak Executive Chef Sean Blomgren and his culinary team, including Spruce Peak’s Pastry Chef, Jessica Quiet.
