Allston is getting a brand new comfort food spot today! Sarah Wade, owner of the popular Downtown spot, Stillwater, opened Sloane’s today.
Located at 197 North Harvard Street in Allston, her newest venture is an extension of what she is known for at Stillwater—belly warming dishes and amazing cocktails. “I want my guests and friends to feel like they are coming over to my house for a meal,” said Chef Sarah. “Whether it’s a random brunch on a Tuesday afternoon, my melty Mac & Cheese or house made ice cream to go home with – come on in for great drinks and unapologetically delicious food!”
Head in to try menu items like za’atar lamb meatloaf, pub cheese and comeback crackers, an Oklahoma onion burger and hand rolled cauliflower gnocchi. There are also sandwiches that are sure to fill you up like “The Bear” a warm pot roast sandwich and the Mushroom Po’Boy with cornmeal crusted oyster mushrooms, bread and butter zucchini pickles and Cajun aioli. Also, be sure to check out a new version of her famous mac and cheese. Also, brunch will be served every day until 3pm! So check out the huge pancakes and glutenous egg dishes.
Moving onto the drinks menu, guests are also in for a treat. Chef Wade has brought in Mackenzie Dame to oversee the beverage program, focusing on drinks made with local spirits and ingredients. One that we are loving right now, and we expect to be a favorite all summer long is the “Cool as a Cucumber,” made with Velo Vodka, which is a Boston-based and female-owned vodka brand, mixed with cucumber water, yuzu liquor and pink peppercorn.
And last but not least, when it comes to dessert you are going to want to save room because Kaitlyn Lloyd is the Pastry Chef and she has some nostalgic classics on the menu. Think Funfetti cake, a homemade snickers bar, and oatmeal cookie profiteroles.
Sloane’s has room for 80 in the dining room, 20 bar seats and 18 outdoor patio seats and is open Sunday – Wednesday 11am – 10pm, Thursday – Saturday 11am-midnight.
