Zoo New England's Birthday Party for Little Joe

Put on your party hat and help Little Joe, Zoo New England’s famous escape artist, celebrate turning 32 years old with a grand event dedicated to the birthday gorilla. On Feb. 17 from 9am-1pm, Gorilla Grove inside Franklin Park Zoo’s Tropical Forest will be festively decorated with enrichment items for the birthday boy and his friends. You can watch the gorillas as they enjoy a special birthday treat in honor of Joe, who joined the Boston zoo when he was four. Continue your learning journey by discovering more about these incredible animals at an education station with a special keeper chat at 9:30 a.m. Your own littles will enjoy time with Big Joe the Storyteller in the Hippo Theater at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 12:30pm.
