Istanbouli Restaurant, in Hamra, is a charming and simple Turkish restaurant. You won’t find it to be the fanciest eatery around, but it does have all the genuine charm of the kind of Turkish restaurant that you would find in a back alley of Istanbul. Plenty of seating and a hospitable and genial welcome, with excellent service. The menu might seem pretty slim pickings, but they have avoided filling it with familiar extras and have rather gone full on Turkish. Lots of genuine dish with lots of genuine flavours.
