Attention shoppers, it's time again for one of Barcelona's most popular and anticipated events in the lead-up to Christmas. Passeig de Gràcia is once again the scene for a night of surprises and shopping, and this year pays tribute to Lewis Carroll's classic 'Alice in Wonderland'.
This seventh edition of The Shopping Night Barcelona is a chance to shop-hop through the stores of the Eixample, which stay open until 1am for the occasion, and to enjoy the fun activities and shows lined up along the avenue. Among them, highlights include the live music on the stage set up on C/Provença, the exhibition organised by the Reial Cercle Artístic (between Rosselló and Provença), the chess game betwen Provença and Mallorca, and the race being set up in the Nike store. You'¡ll also find nourishment to keep you going from Van Van Market set up between Gran Vía and Casp.
The Shopping Night sees shops offering cocktails and special activities, and of course discounts. At Oysho you'll find 20 percent discounts, and in & Other Stories you can get makeup advice and good prices on a selection of seasonal wear. Aristocrazy plays a soundtrack for the night and offers free gifts with purchases, and at Regia you can pick up perfumes and colognes for a 15 percent discont. You'll also find special offers at Levi's (up to 25 percent off) , and Lacoste gives you 15 percent off their winter collection. Camper and Punto Blanco offer 20 percent discounts on selected items.
Hotels and restaurants in the area are getting into the spirit as well. If you fancy a bit of soup with proceeds going to charity, and cooked by Carme Ruscalleda and Raül Balam, get in the queue at the Mandarin Hotel. The façade of the Majestic Hotel re-creates the tea party from 'Alice in Wonderland', and the Bluesman Cocktail Bar at the Hotel Palace offers discounts on your first drink, from 8pm to 11pm.
