These simultaneous concerts are back for the fourth year in a row. Saturday, June 7, at 6pm, 130 free concerts performed by 7,000 music students will take place at once in various venues around Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, including spaces such as the Barcelona Zoo, Girona's Arab Baths, the Patio de la IEI in Lleida, the Dalí Museum square in Figueres, the Casa Rull in Reus, the Santa Maria Church in Terrassa and Es Baluard in Palma de Mallorca. The programme includes a variety of musical styles as well, including symphonic orchestras, chambre music, piano recitals, choirs, swing big bands, jazz groups, gospel choirs, and bands of pop rock, flamenco, funk, rap and hip hop. Check the Festival Simfonic website for the full line-up. At 7pm, the 7,000 participating musicians will perform the same song, 'My Baby Just Cares for Me', popularized by Nina Simone, and often covered by the godparents of this fourth edition of the festival, Andrea Motis and Joan Chamorro.
