Inspired by roller dancing in the streets in cities like Venice Beach, California, and New York, Skate Love Barcelona brings to town three days of music, classes and performances, all on four-wheel skates. On Friday the 13th at dance school Dance Es Cool you'll find classes with internationally acclaimed roller skaters, such as Beto 'Mooncricket' López, Cecile Klaus and Laurence Sabas. At night the big Skate Love Disco sees Poble Espanyol become a skating rink where you can slide around to the rhythm of funk, soul, hip hop, house and pop, and take part in a competition that's open to the public in different categories, as well as see shows by pros such as Pere Marsinyach, one of the best skaters in Catalonia. Get ready to go wild for this performance by the world's No 2 artistic skater and 13-time champ in Spain.
Saturday the 14th means a Beach Party at the Pescadors Beach in Badalona, with food trucks, a market and games area, DJ sets, performances, dance and classes, Pere Marsinyach included. And on Sunday the 15th everyone heads to the Skate Park in Mar Bella for Skate Park Love: two two-hour classes and performances, and gorgeous food for the last day, featuring paella and drinks at La Barca d'Adrià in Sant Adrià.
