Time Out says

Barcelona's 22nd Manga Festival is on from October 29 to November 1 in the Fira de Barcelona. You'll find the stage in Plaça Univers, which plays host to the cosplay contests, the anime song contest, Asian dance performances, and live music. Palau 1 is where you want to go for the gastronomy part of the fair, where you'll find restaurants, workshops and the exhibition 'Wagashi. From A to Z', which introduces you to desserts of Japan.

And then there are the exhibitors, a kids' area and videogames, as well as The Spirit of Japan, an area where there will be activities related to Japanese culture and traditions. Workshops are available too, on subjects such as the kimono, manga, cosplay, YouTubers, and there will be a room for tea and one for meditation.

Head to the the auditorium in Palau 5 to see dance performances, cosplayers in action, and anime screenings.

This year's poster illustration is by Belén Ortega of Granada, who also has an exhibition dedicated to her. And of course there are others, such as one dedicated to Japanese literature and its relationship with manga, and 'The Origins of Manga', where you can explore the more than 1,000 years of Japanese art history.
