These final two sessions of the 2014 edition of Primera Persona ('First Person') start at 7pm with Canadian author Sheila Heti, one of the most acclaimed writers of her generation, who will explain the process of creating books; New York novelist Jonathan Lethem talks about the most autobiographical parts of his work with his sister, translator Mara Lethem; and musician Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening , K Records) closes his European tour accompanied on stage by 'Los Calvinistas' (J. Irízar, Fred i Son's Cristian Pallejà, and Xavi García, formerly of Surfing Sirles).
In the second and final session, at 10pm, two masters and scholars of wonderful albums, Bob Stanley (Saint Etienne) and Green Gartside (Scritti Politti) speak in depth about pop music; a reading by Sergi Pons Codina introduces Scottish writer Irvine Welsh, author of 'Trainspotting', who will talk about his life, passions and phobias with your host, Martí Sales; and finally, Gerard Love, bassist of the glorious band Teenage Fanclub, gives an overview of the best of his career accompanied by the young Mallorcan band Beach Beach.
