This year, what was called The Shopping Night Barcelona is back with a new, more fitting name in Passeig de Gràcia Night, but the sentiment lives on with the city's most famous shopping street filling up with culture, sales, music and food for just one night only, this year on Thursday, December 19, from 7pm to midnight.
The fun extends to the Jardinets de Gràcia to C/Casp, with five stages featuring different types of music, including swing, gospel, rock and urban music. You won't go hungry either, as a dozen restaurants also get in on the action with an offer made just for the occasion and set at just €12, at Palau Robert you'll find stalls with Christmas-themed dishes, and there will be food trucks parked between Gran Vía and C/Casp.
Also look out for the immersive installation between Aragó and Consell de Cent made with 7,200 LED lights and musical accompaniment, and a winter forest made of some 30 fir trees. In addition to providing some lovely scenery, the installation is also there to stimulate environmental awareness, as some of the trees have roots and some don't, so they can be transplanted or used for compost.
